Description/Qualification:
  • Maintain and support a rapidly expanding retail IT operation
  • Familiar with and able to support MS Windows XP workstations, 2000 & 2003 servers
  • Experience in using and diagnostic issues related to MS-Offices suite
  • Knowledge and experience in using Point-of-Sales (POS) system is an asset
  • Programming knowledge in Visual Basic, ASP, Crystal Report is an asset
  • Basic knowledge with TCP/IP networking
  • Maintain head office (LAN) PCs for staff (~50)
  • Maintain Active Directory / Exchange 2003 in Windows 2003 domain server
  • Setting up user privileges for POS system
  • Use POS system to:
  • Generate reports for departments
  • Coordinate with POS vendor for bug reports / feature enhancement / trouble shooting
  • Setup special pricing to response to marketing needs
  • Perform adjustment (cost/inventory) when needed

Successful candidates must:
  • Assume an overall leadership role in generating purchase order from POS system
  • Supervise in cross-checking on the accuracy of commercial invoice and purchase orders
  • Prepare cheque/TT requisition, keep track on payment schedule, and coordinate with Accounting Department for reconciliation
  • Obtain store staff input/feedback to identify opportunities and issues on a regular basis
  • Proactively identify and communicate opportunities for improvement and/or issues to the Team Lead, Merchandising
  • Assist to coordinate and implement all merchandising activities
  • Assist to analyze and interpret merchandising-based reports and POS data
  • Researching and compiling data and information in various formats (e.g., spreadsheets, graphs, tables, written reports, queries/reports, etc.) for management review and approval
  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships
  • Supervise in keeping track with the timing and the status of shipments
  • Available to work on weekends and/or holidays if required
